Dress Up

Words can no express how much I LOVE having girls. I am more than thrilled to be adding a third little girl to or home, surprise or not. I honestly can not get enough of the dressing up, the play kitchens, the special holiday dresses and make up parties. I love princesses, mermaids, fairies and hair do's.

I am completely ok if one or all of them grow up and decide they hate it all and need to be tom boys, but for now I am eating it up. It's so fun watching Minnoh try to keep up with Sarynn. Her favorite things to do are "cook" and play babies. She is starting to explore the dress up and it is just too cute!

There is nothing inside of me that is disappointed about not having a boy. I don't know what changed, because before I had kids, I thought for sure boys were where it's at. But now, I could live a very long life with my girls and not regret one second of it, girls are just too good :)

We drove out to Park City today on a whim. Decided today was as good a day as any to attempt the dreaded family photo. Seeing as how it's just getting colder and colder now.

Much to my surprise we got a family shot that I really like- the first in more than 3 years :) it was a sweet day, the drive to Park city is always a beautiful one. We promised Sarynn pizza if she cooperated and she definitely earned her prize! We wandered around town till the cold became too much and made way our way home. Sadly it gets dark before 7 pm here again..... 5 pm is soon, once the time changes!

Halloween 2011

Halloween was simply wonderful this year. The weather was amazing, THANK YOU OCTOBER! The girls had so much sun, we did Halloweenie stuff all day baking, decorating, pictures, costuming, friending, pumpkin carving, trick or treating, movies etc. It was easily the most exhausting day I have had in a long long time but so much fun. Sarynn understood trick or treating this year and loved every second of it. It was so fun for her to knock on her friends doors and see their costumes. She Loved all the spooky decorations and "talking haunted things." She was such a champ and made it through the entire neighborhood this year with ease. I bet she could have gone for hours and hours. When we got back she says, "that was a long long day wasn't it!" It sure was! Not one I will ever forget though! I love being a mom it makes it all fun again.

October has been WONDERFUL this year. Much to my satisfaction, it has been unseasonably warm and extremely sunny this year! Woooo Hoooo :) I dread October and it's inscesant rainfall here but I have been smiling ear to ear this year basking in its glory- hahah dramatic, maybe but seriously, it has been a picture perfect fall month.

Unfortunately I am in a photo taking, blogging slump. I don't feel like doing much of either lately and it always fills me with guilt because all those memories being lost in my pregnancy brain.

Anyways...

Sarynn Is doing WONDERFULLY well in both school and dance. She is fully adjusted and is definitely the high light of her days. She has made some cute little friends at school. Her little bestie is named Mccall and she and Sarynn both showed up as witches to their school Halloween party- so cute :) Sarynn is doing great as a big sister lately too. She is patient and calm with Minnoh, who can be a little terror at times, but Sarynn rolls with it like a champ. For that I am grateful. Sarynn is very excited for new baby. It is fun having a kid old enough to understand whats going. She happens to be pregnant herself she tells me. She will name her baby Dora and Dora makes it very tough for Sarynn to stand up on her own ;) Her new faves are Tea Parties, and pretending to be the Mommy or Doctor. Her faves are still alive and well, including dress up, mermaids, princesses and playing outside with the neighborhood kids.

Sarynn has been especially excited for Halloween this year. She is really liking learning about spooky things and watching scary movies. We learned all about Mummies, Zombies and Witches this month and she can't seem to get enough of it! We even took her to the Haunted Hollow at the American West Heritage Center and she took it like a champ :) Although once was enough and she wont go through again. She is so full of "why's?" and "how?"

that I think I may explode some days! I do my best to answer them all though, I do understand their importance and significance.

Cinderella (her real costume this year is a witch but halloween has been celebrated so many times the witch costume lost its appeal so took a break with cinderella for the trunk or treat at Daddies work.

And our little Minnoh. She seems to have grown up this month so much. Her talking is unbelievable! She says at least 100 words now and cant seem to learn them fast enough. I love it cause i am pretty sure it cuts back on the crying and tantrums a ton. She can easily communicate to us what she needs and she is even starting to put words together. IE: "bye bye minnie" or "More please" etc. This girl LOVE LOVE LOVES her Daddy. She calls for him when she wakes up, she prefers him when she falls down and calls him while he is at work as often as I will let her. I keep saying she must know she is going to need him more than normal after new baby gets here. She is trying so hard to keep up with Sarynn is adorable but heart breaking at the same time. I cant wait till she can actually keep up, I am sure she feels the same. She loves bikes and and bouncing on anything she can, including mom. She is brave little one, unless it comes to the horse on a stick- She HATES the horse on a stick. I am not sure why that scares her so bad but the giant ride on horse we have is ok, but that is the case and I cant help but laugh. Shoes, Hats and jewelry is a big deal to her. She is always wandering around in someones shoes with lots of accessories on. She is still a wild one and has a tendency to scream, shout and yell her way through the day. I am not holding my breath on that one changing any time soon. Nothing makes her more furious than being told what to do. If she is free to roam and explore then she will is a happy camper but try to make her sit still through the grocery store and her life is over! I do like that she is independently happy though and wouldn't change it for the world! After my clingy attached Sarynn, it is a breath of fresh air :)

Another year older

Turning 28 was quite a surprise, as I had thought I was 28 this whole year and turning 29. Much to my relief I have 2 years to 30 and thank goodness for that. I am not too terribly fearful of thirty, just not ready to be done with twenty I suppose. I have spent this year raising 2 and half girls. Being 20 weeks pregnant AGAIN is like deja vu now, all of these babies melding into one giant memory.... Its pretty sad really. I thought for sure I would remember every silly little thing about each pregnancy. But, I ofcourse have not. Oh well, such is life. Better keep up with this journal :) So we are having a girl, we will name her Wesleigh and she will be here the first week of February. We are MOST excited to be having another girl and plan for this to be our last. She was certainly a surprise. Minnie and Wes will be 16 months apart.

My sweetest baby has her first birthday today, our little princess pea is 1.

I have to admit Minnoh is no doubt a wild woman. She is loud and aggressive, but a happy happy little lady. She is more than happy to flash her pearly whites, all 11 of them! 3 molars even. She doesn't much care for food or eating in general unless its side walk chalk or flowers.

She is taking steps but i cant call it walking. She has been hesitant to be on her feet until just recently so we are thrilled with her steps.

Moosie can not seem to get enough of her daddy. She missed him while he is away and nothing gets her more excited than the site of him coming through the door. She crawls her tiny little body over to him faster than you would believe.

She is a fabulous talker, her first words came early but I don't quite remember exactly when. They were kitty, daddy and moo. Now she is spitting out at least 1 new word a day. I love it because before she had words she was just screaming and shouting all over the place. A very loud baby for sure.

She is still a wonderful sleeper, and for that I am grateful. She is a little bigger than average but nothing like the giant sarynn was/is. She is a brave little adventurer, I am trying desperately to teach her boundaries and limitations but it does not sit well with her. She cant wait to jump off that play ground.

A little smartie pants for, loves to learn new tricks and words, cant get enough of her books and is desperately trying to keep up with her sister. I am excited to see who she becomes because right now she is certainly a "firecracker"

Let me tell you about my best buddy. My best buddy is more than happy to sit in her PJ's with me all day and finish off her day with a movie. She is always happy to share blankets with me, and always glad to share the candy.

We have lots of fun at the stores, talking about all the things we might buy some day. She never lets me leave the house looking a mess and makes sure my shoes match just so.

She has a wild imagination, daydreaming and make believing you wouldn't believe. She is a good friend, always there for a hug and cuddle if ever someone is feeling blue.

I love my buddy because keeps me on my toes. She forces me to be better and never judges me when I mess up. She has an amazing smile that lights up a room, a face that you cant but love at first sight.

My first baby girled turned 3 somewhere in this summer :) She could not be more proud to be "free years old!" Right now 3 is sitting pretty with me. She is a whole truck load of fun. I'm happy to say good bye to 2, it was rough, lots of good ofcourse but we are very ready for this big girls year. She has started dance classes and LOVES them! It is too much fun to sit and watch the whole hour, I can not wait for her first recital. She also started pre- school and that is only so-so on the love chart. Her teachers tell me just wonderful while she is there but there are always tears when I am dropping her and it rips my heart out each and every time. I hope I am doing the right thing in having her go rather than letting her decide when she will and wont stay home.....

She is a princess fanatic! Need I say more. Her days are mostly spent in la la land as one princess or another. Dress up is still huge in these parts and i am not complaining one bit. She is forming so pretty awesome friendships and its exciting to watch it all happen.

Her days at home are mostly spent in jammie dresses although she knows clothes are necessary if she wants to go outside.

Its pretty stinkin' cool watching Sarynn with her sister these days. Its the things I dreamed of coming to life right before my eyes. I can only say I look forward to each and every year with her, it only seems to get better and better. Who would have ever thought that possible!

Oh how I wish I had kept up with this blog better, i have neglected to write down some pretty cool things she said and forgotten them.

Over all she is amazing, wonderful, smart, kind and funny. She will give her right leg if you would sit with her 5 minutes and play princesses. She still cant get enough of Little Mermaid and she means the world to me.

PRESCHOOL!

Its been a way too short summer, I am sad to see it on it's way out :( we took a much needed break from the computer this summer so we could fully enjoy this season with the girls. In that break Sarynn had a birthday and lots of other fun things happened that I really need to catch up on but for now, whats sitting on my mind is school!

We dropped our oldest sister off at school this morning and as we drove away she kept looking back, and looking back. I am not so sure she 100% ready for this step but for her sanity and mine this winter we decided it best to take the leap and just see what happens.

On one hand she is very excited for this unknown. We did back to school night which helped ease her fears tremendously! None the less she is anxious. Understandably so, this is first time being away from mom like this.

I think she will love it in the long run. She LOVES and NEEDS to be around other kids her age. She is doing well with her learning from me but we have come to a road block where she resists most everything I try to show her and teach. She is definitely craving a little independence from me so 3 hours for 2 days a week is going to be good for both of us! I might even get a few chores done ;)

The Princess Festival

The day finally came for the princess festival! We were all excited for days waiting for it to come.

Sarynn got to get one of her birthday presents early just for this- A new Belle costume. She was so excited to wear it and show her friends.

They were given autograph books to collect autographs from all the princesses. Sarynn didn't much care for it but most of the girls loved it!

It started with Alice in Wonderland and the Red Queen.

We met up with Saylor, Willow and Emma and everyone looked like perfect princesses.

Sarynn was too afraid to talk to Beast and get his autograph but Minnoh was our champion.

Repunzel was laughing hard because Mini was crawling away. Repunzel was Sarynns second favorite princess of the day.

At some point we stopped by a fountain for a potty break where the girls put their feet in, but Sarynn managed to get soaked from head to toe. After a quick change we were back at it.

The star of the day for Sar was Ariel. She was simply in love. She touched her and and hugged her. She hardly said a word to most princesses till it came to Ariel, she talked her ear off and would not leave.

It was so fun, they did not skip a beat. Every single princess you can think of was there. There were lots of princess shows and opportunities for crafts and service projects. Sarynn was excited to be there but most excited to be with her friend Saylor. The day was hot and it was a long drive but well worth it. She is still telling us stories about the princess "pestibal"

Vacation

Welp- the cruise came and went and to sum it all up, we will probably never do a cruise again. I might sound like a whiner but cruising is so not our thing. Although I will say I slept like a baby and that was a much needed break. We hardly took any pictures be we hardly had anything to do. When you don't drink, don't gamble and only stop at some not so pleasant ports, a cruise is kinda silly.

I did however score some awesome seniorita dresses for my littles, Missed my babies far too much and am already saving up to go to Hawaii next year.

Sarynn started dance class this week. A much anticipated day with a huge let down. I didn't get her signed up until the day before class because we were gone and I was very unprepared. To my credit, I asked what she needed and the lady was very vague. Poor Sarynn was the only girl there with out any dance shoes or the proper attire but she rocked it anyway. Well she eventually rocked it. The moms had to stay back and out of view so the girls would be less shy so my pics are no good but you get the point.

Through the entire "tap" portion of class, Sarynn had one fist shoved in her mouth and the other grabbing her crotch. The other little girls kept asking teacher why she wasn't moving.....

Eventually ballet came, and that is where she shines. They danced to Repunzel and all was smooth from there :)

You better believe we will get the good shots soon, once we are allowed to sit in and watch. It was a very proud day.

9 months

Little sister is 9 months this month. Yep you read that right! 9 MONTHS!!

Baby girl has 6 teeth with two more pushing through. She is still my great sleeper and LOVES to eat. Well she hates baby food but loves almost anything else.

She screams, she is loud and she is wild. She rarely sits still and is incredibly curious about everything and anything around her.

She is a happy baby, rarely fusses. About the only thing that bugs her is not getting enough sleep.

She is in heaven when around other little kids, especially big sister and her friends.

She hates clips, baby food and being tied down.

She loves crawling and climbing, french fries, and dancing.

Fathers Day

We have been home from vacation a week now and I am still not ready to be home. I am ready to accept it though. Today is fathers day and I might just be blessed with the most amazing men in my life. A most wonderful father and beautiful husband whom is the best father a girl could ask for.

I look at balance a bit differently now. It isn't a game of keeping score so much where good and bad, chaotic and quiet, stressful and restful have to be even players in our home but more so a measure of our response to harmonize the presence of whatever circumstances happen to be hovering. When challenges come, we accept them, learn from them, chop and puree those damn lemons into something sweet and likewise, when the good and easy comes, we drink it in gulps knowing that, like hardships, it won't last forever. <3

I need to put that on my wall- or maybe a mirror or something.

Oh May, May, May..... We have been sick again. I know - 3 months straight practically of coughs and antibiotics and ear infections and those most annoying toddler runny noses. To top it off, my poor little camera has been in the shop this month. I managed to destroy both my lenses in less than a week. She will be back and running just before the wedding of my darling little sister next week and our Most wonderful kidless vacation to Mexico. We are looking forward to next week like you wouldn't believe. :) So much goodness happens when summer starts to poke through those pesky Utah clouds.

The time came for Sarynn's first real haircut. I have trimmed a smidge here and there and then there was the awful decision of bangs way back when that we pretend never happened.

I took her to a cutsie kids cut place hoping to make the experience fun and cool, and avoid it being stressful, boring, and overwhelming. I didn't want it to be full of "sit still" and "are we done yet?"

Just trying to make sure that when we must go for a cut again, it would be something to look forward to.

Anyways- It went great. LOVE Cookie Cutters! Sarynn Loved it, I loved it, Moose loved it.

We went for ice cream after to make things extra fun - Minnoh got her first taste ;)

Easter this year was just plain sweet. I can safely say I am getting used to holidays with out a big extended family. Its nice to wake up, take it easy and enjoy my beautiful little family. We thoroughly enjoyed each others company and it was a very sweet Easter.

I have decided (through the help of a friend) to give swimsuits, sandals and get ready for summer surprises for easter baskets. I like traditions, routines and things to count on so I am excited to have a new Easter tradition for their baskets.

Sarynn had been waiting to dye her eggs FOREVER! She found some princess coloring kit way in advance and asked almost daily if she could do her eggs. Although she had no idea what it was she knew she wanted to use her princess stuff. Finally the day came and it was over just as quickly as it began. I don't remember it going so quick when I was growing up. About 9 eggs survived my wild one but they were the prettiest little eggs she had ever seen.

Easter dresses

Grandma Wilson sent the girls their Easter dresses this year. Sarynn was so excited and called her "belle" dress and wouldn't take it off for days.

We met up with a friend in Salt Lake for some playing and ended up in Gardner Village to get some quick Easter pictures. My kids were less than cooperative of course but got a few cute ones.

Most of the time Sarynn is wild and can't take two seconds for a picture. She is loud, she climbs on everything and everyone. She is quite the sassy pants lately, barking orders and rarely obeys, but once or twice a day she will be calm and want to just chat or cuddle. I love my wild monkey, she makes me laugh more than I ever knew possible but I adore her quiet times too.

7 months

Minnoh's 7th month was spent sick she has been sick, allergies and coughing for coming up on 3 months straight. I cant tell for sure what exactly is the main culprit but I am so tired of sickish kids.

She started crawling this month and is talking like crazy! She is such a busy body, rarely sitting still at all. She doesn't care much for fruit but loves her veggies. She is 5 teeth and I am sure more are on the way. She isn't very tough when it comes to teething and generally sensitive to everything.

She seems desperate to pay with Sarynn and her friends, poor baby just doesn't know how to go about it yet.

She loves bath time and fights bed time.

She is such and easy little girl, so content and incredibly independent.

The little playground has become a big deal around here. Sarynn has made some good little friends that she meets up with almost daily. Then there are the random visitors that are her best friends for 30 minutes or so. I like to watch her make friends and watch her play with other little girls her size, I can't help but smile and imagine how much fun it must be to be her right now.

Scary blue monkey movie

This afternoon after I had checked my email or something there was a pop-up that had an advertisement for Avatar. Sarynn has seen the movie way back when it came it out for rent and didn't really pay attention ofcourse.

When she saw the pop up she flipped out. "The blue monkey movie! The Scary blue monkey movie!" I didn't get it at first because I just shut the laptop really quick. She kept on, "I want to watch the scary blue monkey movie!" Her voice will forever be engrained in brain.

We called up Daddy and asked him to bring it home. It was not at the Redbox so when he got home he packed up girlies and went off to Hastings to get her movie. I have not seen her so excited in a weeks. She couldn't eat her dinner fast enough and now they are on the couch watching attentively.

I love that Daddy was so willing and ready to keep the excitement going. Willing to go out in the pouring rain with the littles and rent a movie he's seen many times before.

I like that when he surprisingly walked in the door this evening 1 hour before he was supposed to be home; Minnoh nearly leapt out of her seat in excitement and could not wait for him to pick her up.

I am grateful that my babies have a daddy like Pedro.

I had one of those days where my patience was tried. Tried beyond my limits. I forgot that my big girl is really just a little. That she is only shy of 3 years old. I was not treating her kindly, I was not putting my effort into making sure she had the best day ever and I went to bed feeling like a failure.

The following day was Dad's day off and I jumped on the opportunity to take my girl out to make up for one very bad day between us, and hopefully cloud those memories with one very good day between us.

We went to the mall- we did some girl shopping- we ate her favorite lunch and played on her favorite playground.

I made it a point to laugh with her, love her, adore her and make sure she could really really feel my love for her.

Because- I LOVE HER. I love her every little bit. I never want her to ever doubt that and I am grateful for "i'm sorries" and new days.

in the knick of time I grabbed a friend outside and gathered my chickens for a quick snap shot.

March was never ending for me. It was snowing and storming most of the month and I have definitely had it with the bad weather. I am planning a million vacations this summer, I am sure we wont be able to do half the things I hope for but I am dreaming none the less.

Pedro, however, had an excellent month. He won us a cruise to Mexico and I am more then thrilled to be going on vacation with my hubs with out kids for the first time since our Sarynn was born. Thanks to a friend in Salt Lake we were also able to go on a date to a basketball game. Tickets also complimentary of Ensign Toyota Honda.

Sarynn has completely ended her naps. It has been good all in all because she now easily goes to sleep between 8 pm and 9 pm rather than the war it was before.

She seems to have grown up a ton this month. She is very much aware of the things we are saying now, and repeats things at the most inopportune times.

She is really loving learning nursery rhymes and little dances. We like to look up Youtube videos of things like Little Bunny Foo Foo because I can not for the life of me remember them.

She is in character all day. She will choose someone like Belle and have Belle hair that day- Daddy will Beast all day and if I slip and call him Daddy, she sternly corrects me. I am usually the witch or evil queen.....

Minnoh is starting to be a chatter box. which is a welcome change from her screams. She is saying, "Nah nah nah." Also, "Da da da" and such noises. She is more in love with her Daddy than ever. She can't get enough of his kisses and often tries to wake him up in the middle of the night after she eats. It is adorable and I usually let her pull his hair till he wakes.

We are all looking forward to better weather and looking forward to April.

Baby girl is 6 months and I have no idea how that happened!

I wonder if each kid gets quicker and quicker.

For such a fussy newborn, she has become such and easy and happy baby. She enjoys being left alone to do what ever it is she sees fit.

Loves to play in her jumperoo for sometimes an hour at a time.

She can't get enough of her voice, better yet her screams and yells.

I am no longer convinced she will have blue eyes although I do still hold out hope.

She is such the stereotypical baby. Adores rattles and usually wont play with a toy if it doesn't make noise. It's like the toy makers made all her toys specifically for her. She loves her baby food, and hates bows on her head.

She chews on her fingers and toes incessantly.

I love her every little bit.

Some how Minnoh's name has evolved to Minnie Moose. Often times just Moose. Not sure she will appreciate that so much when she is 16, we will see how long this one lasts.

I have been giving her apples since she started teething. She liked gnawing on them, I suppose cause they were cold and tasted good. Now that she has two sharp little guys in there she can get pretty good chunks out those apples.

and yes, we continue to give them to her cause we are awesome parents.

I know, I know its a choking hazard but she is never left alone with them.

She just loves every second of it.

Our littles are in heaven when the sun is shining and it's warm enough to be outside. This week is has been hovering around the 50's and most of the snow has melted. It's DANG ugly out but it feels good and soon enough fresh grass will be here.

She has gotten really good at riding- she can pedal AND steer at the same time and it is glorious!

(She just needs a bit of help going up hill)

Minnoh was loving it too, but it seems she has an allergy or sensitivity to EVERYTHING. Poor little things eyes were as red as can be when we got home. I hope she gets a little tougher as she gets bigger.

I get to have lots of one on one time with Sarynn while baby sleeps. She clearly needs it and since I have been making an obvious effort to do this with her, her attitude and demeanor have been so much better.

February is usually the month where I start to go nuts with cabin fever. Fortunately, this year I faired well. We had some very warm days this month with park trips and cupcake dates. We also had plenty of sunshine which helps my moods immensely! Then, here at the end, we are bundling up because of a week long snow storm. A very pretty and welcomed snow storm.

Valentines this year was stretched out over almost 2 weeks. Started with a love package from Grandma Wilson and ending with the cutest Valentine's tea there ever was. We loved it all and it was perfect for the first Valentines Sarynn would remember.

Minnoh grew in 2 teeth this month. She hates it, and makes sure we know it. She is such a sassy pants these days. When Sarynn hugs and she is not in the mood she lets out the most pitched scream until she lets go. If I wipe her nose she does the same..... I can tell we are in for it in a year or so. She is also very determined. She is getting close to crawling and I can tell she can not wait to be on the move. We started trying out different food this month and it did not go well. We will be waiting for her 6 month appointment with the doc before we start that one again. I have been calling her chunky butt, Minnie Moo and baby sis lately. She has been Sarynn's best buddy lately and no one can get Minnoh laughing like Sarynn.

Sarynn has been an angel this month. No joke. She happily and willingly takes naps when she is asked. She is so happy to be a big girl when ever possible and becoming more and more independent. Her sentence of choice, "I can do it, my turn." So rather than fight her I do my best to teach her how to do what ever it is she insists on doing. Things like putting on her panties are 50/50 chance of getting it right and I revel in those backwards panties.

We have been getting lots of -I love you's lately and more kisses and hugs than I know what to do with. I am just loving my February with my Sarynn.

Pedro is still plugging away at work and is officially the back up finance guy at Ensign. It is requiring him to work more hours and we miss him being home very much. I try to take the girls to have lunch with him as often as I can. We do our best to make the most of our uninterrupted Sundays with him.

Something clicked, changed, or maybe fell into place for me recently. Since Minnoh was born I have felt off. I know it was not depression because I didn't feel like isolating myself of sleeping all day beyond being tired from having a newborn. I just think my hormones were off and I was taken very off guard of what having 2 kids would be. Well this month I am feeling great. I feel like my days are in control again and like I can do this. I can be a mother of multiple children and not have to be committed ;) For a while there I was wondering if 2 babies was my limit. I can see now that I can do more, I want more and can't wait for more---- well I can wait, a few years for sure. I am not in any hurry to add #3.

V-Day Tea

Sarynn got all dressed up, curls and all for a special Valentine's party.

We were invited to a Valentines Tea yesterday that Shirley put on for her nieces and nephews and was so kind to invite my kids too.

Sarynn was so excited for this party, she could hardly wait till 4 o'clock.

It was a blast and Shirley did such a great job decorating the place and supplying the kids with all the cutest accessories.

We just love the Morris's more than they know. I always tell them that I am more than willing to be adopted into their family. They already have 11 siblings and millions of nieces and nephews but are always so welcoming to my lonely little family. Sarynn even calls their Grandma Jan, Grandma her self. Jan sat with Sarynn for more than 30 minutes reading stories.

We went to Saylors birthday party last week and she got the cutest bride dresses from one of her friends. It was a Cinderella gown from the Disney store and I just loved it. Sarynn has been very interested in weddings and brides for the last few months. She likes to marry her prince (her dad) and gets very excited to see brides on TV or if she is lucky enough, around town.

I decided I would figure out how to make a Wedding dress for my little bride. I could have bought one, and maybe someday I will, but for now a home made gown works perfect. I had grand plans for the dang thing but in the end the sleeves were axed and someday I will pin on some fabric flowers. Making clothes is kinda hard. Luckily I am just making costumes.

Her favorite part is the "deil" She has hardly taken it off since I glue gunned that netting to her headband.

As always, a pair of slippers are a must!

Next on my list, Repunzel- this one is going to be a bit more tricky.

As I type this she is watching Beauty and the Beast. Riding around on her broom stick pony that she calls Phillipe and is acting out the the story. It is so dang cute! When Belle falls, Sarynn falls. What Belle says, Sarynn says. She will do this with most of her movies but particularly Beauty and the Beast and Alice.

Valentines Day is definitely not hated in our house. Pedro and I don't do a whole lot though. We are no fans of the crowds out there; so we usually just stay home and rent a movie or something. This year, Pedro fell asleep while putting Sarynn to bed and I stayed up till midnight doing laundry! Hahah a lovely holiday eh ;) The girlies were spoiled as always and I wouldn't have it any other way. We had a repeat of last year, and my heart was happy.

I dress myself and my girls the same probably 4 or more days a week. Its not on purpose and it's embarrassing. I almost never recognize it until late in the day and I have been here, there and everywhere!

Sometimes it gets really bad IE: We all showed up to a friends house in white T shirts and jeans...... Oh man. One time we all were wearing striped thermals.

Back in the day Pedro and I would show up places looking the same if I helped him choose an outfit. I guess when I have something on my mind it is clear.

I swear today was one of the best days ever!

It started with the mail box. We got 3 special things in the mail today from 3 different friends! Some Valentines, a thoughtful gift and a fun post card from Morocco. We almost never get fun mail and today it was a goldmine :) Thank you friends.

Sarynn is doing a really good job of memorizing her books lately and enjoys reading to me when ever she gets the chance.

We then discovered today was going to be AWESOME weather (for Feb in Utah) and the sun was shining. Which automatically makes it the best day ever for me.

I stopped by my fave antique store on the way to the park and found some classic Cabbage Patch girls. They are twins, with brown hair and in perfect condition. They were only $15 for the pair and they were coming home with us. Cabbage Patch Dolls just scream childhood for me. My brothers and I all had a doll that looked like us and adored them. I have gotten Sarynn a new one already but they don't have the same hair or quality anymore. I am just so pleased with myself for finding them. Sarynn named them Princess. The name of choice lately for her babies.

We went to the park with temperature outside a balmy 52 degrees :) At the park Minnoh slept, Sarynn played and I smiled. There was a play group at the park that made my day. They were 4 Daddy's with around 12 kids among them. I just loved seeing them there, like you would the ladies but it was guys. I liked watching the dad's play with their kids and the kids love the attention. It was clear it was not the groups first time there and I love the idea of a Dad's play group.

When we got home, we made chocolate strawberries and valentine's for some friends. Nothing beats chocolate covered strawberries for dinner in my book.

I am hopeful this winter will be short and sweet. I can't wait for spring. Thank you Saturday!

Minnoh's first tooth broke through yesterday. Just before 5 months, just like Sarynn.

I've been trying the last few weeks to get a good shot of my girlies together and keep failing. Sarynn still protests photos, and/or makes crazy faces. If she does happen to be in a cooperative mood, the second Minnie touches her she runs out...... It's especially frustrating because she will maul Minnoh any other time. So for now I surrender to this one and will try again in a month or two.

I can not wait for good weather.

Daddy is gone this weekend on a work trip. The weekends all alone are never my favorite but in a lot of ways, lots of fun. I get to sleep in my bed with both my babies. We hardly get dressed unless we HAVE to go somewhere. There are no big dinners to cook and the house gets a little messy till right before daddy comes home. It's just a long, slow, quiet weekend. Family 2011

My other photo project this year is to take a family photo every month. It can be something special, or not. Sporadic or planned. The idea is to simply document my family this year because these kids are going to grow far to quickly for my liking and I don't want to miss a thing.

January was full of family. Grandma Patty was here for the 5 weeks over the holidays and Sarynn fell in love. I am pretty sure Grandma did too.

Pedro turned 29. Wowza is he close to 30. We totally sucked it up on his birthday. The family was sick and me especially. I will definitely make it up to him next year for the big 3-0.

We packed up the family and headed to California to be with the Wilson's for a week. Sarynn and Minnoh had their first experience with Disneyland and it was glorious.

Pedro and my parents also took Sarynn to the Wild Animal Park and I hear she had a blast. I was pretty jealous to not be able to attend but I had lots of photos to take of friends and family and busted it out all in one day.

While in California Grandpa Wilson blessed and gave our little Minnie a name. I am eternally grateful for my Dad and all that he does for us.

Pedro's been training for his new job at work, and hopeful it will be a good thing for our little family.

I have been seriously de-cluttering and organizing the house. We have lived here 3 years now and it is most definitely time re organize and prioritize.

This month Minnoh is rolling. She is tasting all sorts of foods and loving it, but not on any kind of solid schedule.

I am starting to seriously consider a photography business. It would be awesome to make some money on my little hobby. Goodness knows we can use some spending cash around here.

We were finally able to take Sarynn to Tangled yesterday. We tried 3 times before and this that and the other kept happening. So I know this is a little late but WE LOVED IT! So cute, so fun. I have attempted to post about our trip more than 10 times now and the overload of pictures are overwhelming, blogger is slow, the pictures get lost, I get frustrated and eventually give up!

So I am going to keep this simple but write about the stuff I want to remember and mostly make sure Sarynn remembers of the "happiest place on earth!"

I had originally planned for her first trip to Disney to be her 3rd birthday. I thought it would be a perfect age for your first time. Somewhere along the road Sarynn got an idea that Disneyland must be FANTASTIC! She started asking daily to go. I kept telling her, "When we go see Grandma and Grandpa we will go." Which turned into every time we got into the car her asking to go to Grandmas and Disneyland.

I really have no idea where she got the idea that Disney would be cool. We don't have TV, and just watch movies so commercials are not the culprit. The only thing I can think of is trailers from her Disney shows..... I never watch them, but assume that the days I just toss a movie in quick for my shower there must be Disneyland trailers.

OK, so her excitement started getting me really excited to take her for the first time. Her reactions to things never dissappoint and I could not wait to get there and see her sweet face.

I personally am no fan of the park, I don't like crowds, I don't like overpaying, I just plane think its over hyped. I do however LOVE to give my girl the best day of her life as often as possible so Disney it was!

The weather was shockingly HOT! 90 degrees! Now California notoriously has wonderful winters but 90 degrees is not the norm. I had not come prepared for such pleasantness and my poor babies were considerably over dressed.... oops

There was so much baby lovin' Minnoh just didn't know what to do with herself. She was in heaven to say the least. A perfect angel the whole day-

We started at California Adventure because its less crowded and we wanted to end the day with the Disneyland fireworks. Unfortunately we wasted 3 hours there- none of us knew what it was all about, we waited in line for 3 rides and each time we got up there they shut it down for power problems! We must have been trailing the problem, or causing it.

So it was off to Disney.

CROWDED! INSANE! But still totally worth it!

I never understood growing up why people would go for 5, 7, 10 days. I get it now. You can hardly get through 3 things before your day is over, and there is just SO MUCH TO DO. I didn't see it that way as a kid.

I wanted to make sure we did 2 things while we there. See some princesses and do the tea cups. Well we saw some princesses but failed at the tea cups.

Seeing those girls in person really changed the game for. It is all so real now and even more exciting. It was totally worth it just for those 15 minutes. She was and still is in heaven. Just the other day my friend was able to get her an autographed photo of Ariel sent to her from Disney and she has yet to sleep with out it.

Sarynn passed out in my arms during dinner but we were sure to wake her for fireworks. My goodness Disney has THE BEST fireworks. I mean THE BEST! To top it off they have Tinkerbell flying through the sky and it was simply amazing. A human girl literally flinging through the sky and fireworks. Sarynn was literally enchanted. A perfect way to end a perfect night.

I didn't proof read it, I almost never do anyways but I am sure this is a trash can full of typ-o's. Just glad I finally got it down. Sorry the letters are "link" dunno how to stop that and don't care much to fix it....

Right now she is all abut her toes. She is almost always grabbing them.

It amazes me how much she enjoys story time. She watches and listens intently and almost never gets bored.

I don't know what it is about my kids, but they grow FAST. She is one big little girl.

She is so content to be held and loved on by anyone. She loved being in California because it was non stop baby lovin'

Still the best sleeper. I sure got lucky with this one.

This month Sarynn is two and a half turning 12.

I swear she acts much older than 2 and a half turns around the sun.

She's really into shortening names IE: "Min's crying!" "I want to watch Snow (snowwhite)"

She Loves to eat cereal and ham and cheese "samiches"

We have officially entered the - I can do it!- stage. She likes to get herself dressed, buckle her seat belt, wash her own hair etc.
